This building had an older roof that needed a full tear off, and the owner wanted solar panels added at the same time instead of doing two separate projects later on. Our team worked through the tear off, laid down new underlayment across the whole roof, and got everything ready for the solar panels to go on once the new roofing material was down.

Putting solar panels on a roof is not just a matter of bolting them down, the roof underneath has to be solid first. We replaced the old roofing material with new shingles and underlayment so the roof itself would hold up for years, then our solar team mounted the panels and ran the wiring down to the electrical panel on the side of the building. A roof doesn’t hold up as well under solar panels if it wasn’t done right in the first place, so getting the roofing finished before the panels go on saves a lot of trouble down the road.
